Challenges You Will Solve
At Red Canary we are dedicated to growing our products and bringing new products to market in order to protect our customers from cyber attacks! As a Content Designer, you will run with the creation and maintenance of visual communication and written technical content for Red Canary Products and Help Center. The content that you create and maintain will ensure that Red Canary customers, partners, and other users are empowered by a seamless and sensible product experience.

What You'll Do

    • Gain a deep understanding of products and services to develop comprehensive visual technical content that meets Red Canary's standards.
    • Translate complex standard operating procedures into simple and engaging visual help center content.
    • Design user-friendly technical content supporting end-users, Red Canary Sales functions, and Red Canary Support functions, while also evaluating current technical content and developing goals for improvement.
    • Collaboratively engage in the development of Red Canary standards for technical product content and visual communications.

What You'll Bring

    • Expertise in visual communication, UX writing, and technical writing principles, practices, and standards.
    • Strong video scripting and production skills, including voice-over experience.
    • Functional mastery of English grammar, tone, and register in writing.
    • Experience with content design thinking, methodologies, activities, and facilitation.
    • Knowledge of how to review, edit, and format written and visual technical content.
    • Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Captivate, Articulate 360, Sketch, and Figma.
    • Experience preparing written and visual content with minimal input (written or verbal) from subject matter experts, such as engineers and product managers.
    • Experience collaborating on product teams as an embedded resource.
    • A passion for working closely with internal stakeholders to acquire an in-depth understanding of content requirements.
    • An ambitious spirit and ability to deeply collaborate cross-functionally, including product management, engineering, research, and analytics.
    • A portfolio of samples that demonstrate your abilities.
Targeted base salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 + bonus eligibility and equity depending on experience.
