The Enterprise Commercial Sales Executive - Security & Risk, is the subject matter expert (SME) for Primer Command and our Security & Risk Intelligence solutions. The role is first and foremost customer facing, working in partnership with a senior commercial sales team to achieve rapid growth of Primer’s subscription revenues within the Fortune 2000. The person in this role acts as the SME in all strategic customer engagements, comfortable talking 1-1 or in a group setting about a wide variety of topics relating to security and risk for commercial companies, building trusted relationships while highlighting the benefits of Primer’s solutions to the challenges that are faced.  

Who You Are:

  • You are comfortable working with Senior (C-suite) Executives and senior security/compliance leadership, possess strong and compelling presentation skills as you will be presenting to groups of evaluators and decision-makers and potentially at industry events/trade shows as a “thought leader”. 
  • In working with customers and prospects, you are called upon to engage them where they are (understanding their current security situation, areas of interest, need), present and demonstrate Primer solutions from their perspective, and engage in developing high level business pipelines and process flows showing how Primer works within their current processes.  
  • Your long-term goal is to make Primer an indispensable part of every Fortune 2000 security and risk strategy.  In this role, you are the one to bring critical feedback to Primer to shape enhancements and direction for our Intelligence solutions.

How You Will Make An Impact: 

  • Become the undisputed SME - Understand intimately how F2000 companies think about security and risk - their strategy and tactics to identify, understand and mitigate risks to their business - be it social/news, physical, geographical, employees, brand/reputation, cyber, … 
  • Directly team and engage with Enterprise Sales Executives on specific account engagements. 
  • Build relationships with and leverage expertise from/with other thought leaders in the space, while also leveraging their contacts for referrals to prospective customers.
  • Participate in and support efforts with messaging for prospecting and lead qualification of new prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., product, engineering, customer success) and colleagues to provide a use case and product feedback, develop fresh approaches to utilizing the system, understand winning strategies, and champion sustained success.

Experience We Are Seeking:

  • 7+ years of experience in the domain of Security & Risk, with 2+ years in a commercial (non-government) role.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with and earn trust from peers, business leaders (C-Suite) and security experts.
  • Strive for operational excellence with an ability to effectively utilize your own time and the time of others, while showing passion about Primer’s mission and in helping customers benefit from it.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, advanced degree and/or security clearances a plus.
