FireEye's Global Solutions Specialists team is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our EMEA team.  The Sales Engineer is instrumental in the organization's ability help field sales teams win and develop new and existing accounts in region.  The Sales Engineer will focus on FireEye’s Threat Intelligence portfolio, Managed Defense offerings, Mandiant Security Validation and Mandiant Automated Defense, within Central Europe.

Job Description

FireEye's Global Solutions Specialists team is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our EMEA team.  The Sales Engineer is instrumental in the organization's ability help field sales teams win and develop new and existing accounts in region.  The Sales Engineer will focus on FireEye’s Threat Intelligence portfolio, Managed Defense offerings, Mandiant Security Validation, and Mandiant Automated Defense, within Central Europe.

This position is responsible for supporting technical qualification on sales opportunities, presenting and demonstrating our solutions to show customers how our products and services can help their business reduce cyber risk.  The successful candidate is expected to work closely with the local Global Sales Specialists and with the direct field sales teams to help grow existing and new account relationships.  The sales engineer will need to have good communications skills to help grow internal and external relationships.  As a specialist sales engineer your required to be the local expert on the above technologies and knowledgeable in other technologies.   The successful person will need good written and verbal skills and is able to communicate across multiple teams to achieve the positive outcomes our business requires.  Being a key player as part of a team that thrives on sharing information, improving soft skills and technical skills is required.  Working on large deals is a daily activity that requires a disciplined approach to help our sales teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Articulate the benefits of FireEye products and services for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Research and understand both the technical and commercial requirements of a sales opportunity to scope and architect a solution that meets the customer’s needs.
  • Conduct Proof of Value engagements on Sales opportunities.  This includes installation and configuration of FireEye solutions, training customers on the use of FireEye products.
  • Work closely with customers to grow and expand the implementation/integration of FireEye products.
  • Presenting to small and large audiences is essential
  • Conduct technical workshops with internal sales engineering teams and existing or new customers.
  • Work closely with the local sales and sales engineering teams to respond to RFI or RFPs
  • Help our local/global marketing teams with public and virtual events to help grow the business
  • Provide product expertise and guidance to customers on the use of the above products
  • Understand and be conversant about FireEye competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Travel required across the region, including periods away from home to support activities e.g. PoV.

Qualifications

 

  • History of creating rapport with customers, from technicians to C-level executives.
  • 5-10 years or equivalent experience in consulting or sales engineering with hands-on technical understanding of various technologies such as SIEM, EDR, AV, Proxies, Threat Intelligence, Web Filtering, Email Secure Gateways. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or Equivalent Experience.
  • Security certifications desirable (but not essential), CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.
  • Pre-sales experience in computer security and Threat Intelligence domains.
  • Fluency in German up to native speaker level and English speaker
  • Experience working with large, complex organisations desired
