Job Description:

The Learning Development team will be responsible for driving high quality learning content for customer, partners, and employees across the globe. As a Curriculum Development Manager, you will work with your team and other stakeholders to develop engaging online, classroom, and virtual training for Salesforce customers, employees, and partners. 

 

Your initiatives will touch every aspect of the customer journey and have a significant impact on customer engagement, adoption, and retention, while maximizing the productivity of our existing customer success and support teams. In addition, you will design programs and content that will increase partners and employees’ technical competency in the field. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Learning Experience Design Lead, including some who are contractors.
  • Create and implemented an instructional design methodology that enabled the team to develop quality training content in an agile way as we scale internally and rely on outsourced teams.
  • Identify, prioritize, and solve ongoing educational opportunities for our rapidly growing customer base. 
  • Work with other teams (e.g. support, knowledge) to uncover redundancies in customer inquiries
  • Lead and educate course owners, (who are not direct reports) to develop their content according to Learning best practices. This includes creating engaging instructor led training, self-paced learning, and virtual classroom design, infographics, and how-to videos.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Create a robust library of self-help content, including but not limited to tutorials and videos
  • Measure impact and engagement of each customer education initiative and its impact on overall customer engagement, adoption, and retention
  • Ensure that company style and standards are appropriately expressed in technical content and media 
  • Teach training methods and skills to Trainers, Content Specialists, Managers, and other leaders.
  • Create an issue tracking and enhancement request system for course materials to accept feedback from instructors.

 

Requirements:

  • Have at least two (2) or more years of experience with managing a team developing client-facing curriculum and trainings for a complex software product or platform at a B2B SaaS software company or similar industry  
  • Can provide an online professional portfolio of past digital product training work. This portfolio should have three (3) or more relevant examples to show (e.g., e-learning, classroom learning, etc.). Each example should have high-level information about the project (e.g., medium of delivery = e-learning) and the designer’s role in the project. 
  • Have a demonstrated track record of project management, including managing and coordinating complex, creative projects while meeting a tight deadline. Should be able to provide 1-2 examples of previous projects where they evaluated time, scope, and resources to deliver an end-product
  • Enjoy building strong professional relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) and end-users to uncover learning needs
  • Be excited to design content that engages (e.g., gamification, learning tracks, etc.) a range of users and skill levels 
  • Have very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Take pride in defining measuring, and achieving success criteria (e.g., 3-5 metrics that let you know whether the learning program you rolled out achieved the organization’s goals)
  • Have experience using storyboarding/script-writing tools and client-facing learning management systems to design and execute on learning programs for technical business users end-users (e.g. administrators in a corporate environment rather than students in an academic setting)
