Network Security Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze and implement security solutions in alignment with a security strategy. Maintain an awareness of market and technology trends to bring best of breed solutions to the client. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Analyze or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience developing or deploying network and security devices, applications, and tools in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with systems engineering of information systems

  • Experience with developing, deploying, and managing Cybersecurity solutions 

  • Experience with network ports and protocols, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Firewalls

  • Experience with log review and analysis

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Palo Alto or F5 Devices

  • Experience with FireEye HX, NX, and EX

  • Experience with Linux

  • Experience with Cybersecurity forensics tools and methodologies

  • Ability to apply NIST, federal, and DoD guidelines, policies, directives, and memos as they relate to network security

  • Possession of excellent analytical and collaboration skills

  • Computing Environment Certification, including McAfee, Blue Coat, RedHat, or Cisco Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 110,000 to 125,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
