Serve as a leader for an integrated team of engineers and cybersecurity experts within the firm’s transportation sector’s cybersecurity practice focused on embedded and cyber-physical systems. Consult with clients in the secure design of automotive technologies and systems, conduct automotive cybersecurity risk assessments, develop security documentation, and design and implement cybersecurity solutions within complex, connected intelligent transportations networks. Analyze system concepts and manage research and engineering teams translating strategic cyber objectives and technology and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions within the intelligent transportation system (ITS) deployments and the transportation infrastructure. Work with business groups and account managers to identify customer requirements and to devise and socialize potential solutions with the customer. Facilitate solutions developed in response to requests for proposals, including defining the problem space, discovery and elicitation of the customer vision, and the overall technical solution. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.
10+ years of experience in engineering, emerging transportation, or cybersecurity technologies
8+ years of experience in program management
Experience working with ITS
Experience leading research teams exploring technical issues to address complex challenges faced by transportation planners
Knowledge of multi-modal ITS concepts, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Ability to demonstrate technical leadership and thought leadership related to cybersecurity for ITS
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Active Project Manager’s Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience with federal government consulting
Experience with automotive and transportation industry organizations and events, including Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), standards committees, Auto-ISAC, Automated Vehicle Symposium, Embedded Security in Cars (escar), Transportation Research Board (TRB), and Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA)
Experience developing and presenting briefings and presentations to support internal program audiences and senior client staff
Knowledge of cyber-physical systems
Knowledge of automotive architectures and communications technologies
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field a plus
Security+, CISSP, or GICSP Certification

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $130,000 to $150,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
