Host-Based Security Engineer

Key Role:

Develop and implement security solutions in alignment with security strategy. Maintain an awareness of market and technology trends in order to bring best of breed solutions to the client. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing, deploying, and managing host-based Cybersecurity solutions in a large enterprise environment

  • Experience with systems engineering of information systems

  • Experience with host-based Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)

  • Experience supporting Cybersecurity infrastructure in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment

  • Experience with log review and analysis

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with McAfee ePO supporting an enterprise environment with 3000+ users

  • Experience with FireEye HX, NX, or EX

  • Ability to apply NIST, federal, and DoD guidelines, policies, directives, and memos as they relate to Network security

  • Possession of excellent analytical and collaboration skills

  • Computing Environment Certification, including McAfee or FireEye Certification

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 120,000 to 140,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
