Cyber Threat Specialist, Lead

The Challenge:

Are you ready to take a strategic role in cyber defense for government and commercial clients? Do you want to use your experience-based knowledge to protect critical systems from the constant onslaught of cyber-attacks?

You will work to manage enterprise-level, Security Operations Centers for government client or commercial clients. You will lead teams in finding advanced threats that are escaping detection, by analyzing logs, forensic data, and threat intelligence. Using your deep understanding of your customer’s networks, combined with your cybersecurity experience, you’ll lead the team in analyzing patterns to understand attackers’ goals and stop them from succeeding. You will manage to contract requirements through multiple product vendors, service vendors, and teaming partners fostering collaboration, ensuring accountability, and driving results. You will work across cross-functional teams of technical, strategic, and operational SMEs delivering technical solutions. You will lead a team in career growth and development and support the development of intellectual capital related to next-generation cyber opportunities. In addition, you will lead how we strategize to mitigate cyber threats to include creating whitepapers, supporting proposal efforts, and facilitating client discussions that help the team grow into new and adjacent business areas. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • Experience in managing security operations centers

  • Experience in identifying security gaps in government or commercial environments and identifying and implementing solutions to close those gaps

  • Experience with interfacing and providing briefings directly with senior government executives or internal leadership and stakeholders

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with large DevSecOps, cyber, cloud, analytics, O&M, and solutions engineering initiatives

  • Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders of varying levels

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), Human Centered Design, Prosci Change Management, Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, ServiceNow, or SAFe certification


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.


The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 115,000 - 125,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
