Cyber Strategic Planning and Policy Development Specialist

The Challenge:

When our country’s cybersecurity is on the line, simply reacting is not enough – we need a plan. And when that plan needs to protect defense systems and technology, we need strategic policy development. That’s why we need you, a cybersecurity policy specialist with the expertise required to analyze the policies that determine our cyber resilience.

As a cyber strategic planning and policy development consultant on our team, you’ll lead the assessment of your client's current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks. You’ll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. You’ll work in a consultative role to ensure the client operates securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment. You Have:

-8+ years of experience with analyzing DoD policy-making
-2+ years of experience with cybersecurity policy or practices
-2+ years of experience with NIST 800 series publications
-Experience with writing or drafting executive or formal senior-level correspondence
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
-Experience with briefing clients and team members on technical, policy, and functional issues
-Top Secret clearance
-Bachelor's degree
 
Nice If You Have:
-Experience with the military
-Experience with supporting senior-level organizations
-Experience with the development of DoD-level strategies, or equivalent issuances, or analyzing policies
-Experience with cybersecurity risk analysis
-Knowledge of Cybersecurity Framework
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent organizational skills
 
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
