 Security Engineer


 Armor is looking for a talented and highly motivated security engineer to join its Security Operations Department. The Security Engineer will be primarily responsible for the day to day orchestration and countermeasure development of security technologies and services protecting Armor customers. This position will work closely with other teams within the Security Operations department to ensure that Armor’s dynamic security solutions protect against today and tomorrow’s threats.

 This position can be remote for the ideal candidate.

 Security Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned as required)

  • Develop new rules or methods to improve detection rates
  • Modify, Enhance, or Tune existing detections as needed
  • Translate threat intelligence into actionable detections
  • Enhance processes that support the team’s mission
  • Participate in design efforts that improve detection/response capabilities of the product
  • Create, and manage security policies across multiple platforms (AV, FIM, IDS, NGFW, EDR, WAF, etc.)
  • Provide expert guidance to a global SOC in support of crafted detections
Required Skills:

  • Log Analysis
  • Incident Response
  • Threat Intelligence
Education And/Or Experience:

  • 1-3 Years of Detection / SIEM Engineering experience preferred
Technical Qualifications:

 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Ability to work in a distributed global environment with a remote team
  • Programming/scripting experience preferred
